Dear Parents and Carers,

What a colourful way to end the week today was! It was wonderful to have so many families present at our colour run and picnic today and I would like to thank each of you for making it such a memorable day. I must also pay tribute to our trust, who made today possible and for those people from the central service team who came to support as well.

This week saw our various sports' days take place in glorious sunshine and what a success they were. I know I speak for everyone when I say a big De Hav thank you to both Mr. Power and Miss Kilby, who have worked tirelessly to organise and lead four excellent events. Having spent so long hoping it would not rain, it was then somewhat ironic that it ended up being the hot temperatures which meant one or two adjustments had to be made. However, we made it through successfully and a big congratulations to the winning house. Thank you to all those parents and carers who came along to support their child and an extended thanks to those who personally thanked the staff members present - you will never know the impact this little gesture can have on our staff team.

Next week, we look forward to sharing with both children and families our staffing plan for next year. This marks the start of a busy transition period as we prepare the children for their new classes in September. Lots of thought and work goes into the next few weeks to ensure the children feel as comfortable as possible and I would like to pay tribute to our staff team who do all they can to support this process. Additionally next week, we have our annual District Sports event. Here, many of our children will be competing against other schools in Welwyn and Hatfield. I look forward to taking my now customary spot on the finish line and cheering our athletes on!

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend,

Mr. Bostock
